Diversity & Inclusion

At the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland we are dedicated to sustaining an environment where diversity is valued and our plans and actions are designed to leverage the opportunities that diversity presents.

A focus on diversity and inclusion means that we, as an organization and as employees, appreciate and respect those individual, personal, and organizational attributes that we have in common as well as those that make us unique. The Bank is committed to diversity and inclusion, and in fact, inclusion is one of our Core Values

Office of Minority and Women Inclusion

In January 2011, the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) was established as one of the provisions of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. This office is responsible for all matters relating to diversity in management, employment and business activities.

On an annual basis, the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland files employment data with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Board of Governors. This EEO-1 Report is available on our website and is refreshed each year. This information is one tool used by the Bank to discuss workforce diversity.

Resource Network Groups

A Resource Network Group (RNG) is an organization of employees who identify with or have an affinity to a particular dimension of diversity, which they can link to the business objectives of the organization.

An RNG operates to support and develop its members and help the company achieve its business and people goals (e.g., provide input on business initiatives, recruiting and retention strategies, and employee initiatives). The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland has the following Resource Network Groups.

The CollaborAsians RNG provides a means to share knowledge, experiences, and perspectives regarding issues related to “Asian-ness” and the Asian culture.

Women Inspiring Leadership and Development

The Women Inspiring Leadership and Development (WILD) RNG is to identify topics of interest to Bank employees related to gender diversity, to coordinate events/activities to promote engagement around these topics, and to build relationships and share experiences within the coordinating group itself.

The mission of STAAR is to be actively engaged in our Bank's success by supporting a culture that values differences and advocates awareness through open minds and inclusive attitudes.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies’ (LGBTA) RNG exists to support the LGBT community at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland and to help the Bank become an employer of choice for the LGBT community.

Communities for Overcoming the Obstacles in Life

Communities for Overcoming the Obstacles in Life (C.O.O.L.) exists to provide sharing support to coworkers and the Bank by breaking down biases, stereotypes and behaviors and building awareness and understanding through education.

Young Professionals Network
