Background and history

Started in 2019, the Fed Talk series connects the Cleveland Fed with community members to discuss issues affecting the communities and people we serve. Past Fed Talks have covered a broad range of topics including
  • The economic outlook and the variables that influence it
  • Bank supervision and its role in promoting stable and efficient financial institutions
  • How small businesses drive innovation, job creation, and economic growth
  • Financial literacy
  • Broadband access – why it's important and the challenges of making it available in rural and urban areas
  • Childcare and how the supply of it can impact workforce stability and productivity
  • Access to financial services

What to expect when you attend

Fed Talk events are one-hour programs that educate on a wide range of relevant economic topics. When registering, you can submit questions for the speakers, and the speakers will take your questions at the end of the program as well.
