Joel Elvery, Economist

Joel Elvery is an economist in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is primarily interested in labor, public, and urban economics, as well as applied econometrics. His current work focuses on the regional economy of the Fourth District of the Federal Reserve.

Prior to joining the Cleveland Fed, Dr.Elvery was an assistant professor in the Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University. He also held positions with the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau. He received his PhD in 2004 from the University of Maryland.
