Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Brian Richardson is a senior vice president and the chief human resources officer at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, where he oversees the Human Resources Department and its functions and organizational communications. He also represents the Cleveland Reserve Bank on the Federal Reserve System’s Subcommittee on Human Resources. He possesses a broad range of experiences and a demonstrated track record of realizing business results through a collaborative, people-centered approach.

Mr. Richardson joined the Bank in 2025 as an experienced HR executive and business professional with more than 20 years serving in leadership roles for Cleveland-based companies. Most recently he was executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Covia (formerly Fairmount Santrol), where he led the human resources, information technology, communications, and environmental, social, and governance functions. Prior to joining Covia, he spent 21 years at the Sherwin-Williams Company.

A Northeast Ohio native, Mr. Richardson holds a BA in finance and economics from Baldwin Wallace University and an MBA from the Ohio State University.
