Jason Tarnowski

Vice President

Jason Tarnowski is a vice president in the Supervision and Regulation Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. He is responsible for overseeing and coordinating Supervision’s cybersecurity intelligence and the incident management function for the Federal Reserve System.

Mr. Tarnowski joined the Bank in 1992 as an assistant examiner and was promoted to examiner in 1995. He became a banking supervisor in 2000, with responsibility for Fourth District financial institutions’ compliance with consumer laws and regulations, consumer complaints, the Bank Secrecy Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. In that role, he provided law enforcement assistance in cases involving bank fraud, money laundering, and financial crimes. In addition, he directed all enforcement actions and special investigations in Supervision and Regulation. In 2011, he was appointed to assistance vice president overseeing risk supervision and consumer compliance. In 2018, he was promoted to vice president overseeing risk supervision, consumer compliance, and surveillance and analytics. He was appointed to his current position in 2025.
